PRICES
Prices shown are for 7 days calculated from the time you collect the car
to the same time on the seventh day.
3 DAY PRICES ARE HALF 7 DAY
More than 3 days and less than 7… Pro rata with the 3 day price
More than 7 days ….Pro rata with the 7 day price
Minimum period charged is 3 days.
Rentals which extend across two months are charged at the appropriate price for
the days in each month. They are not charged at the rate for the cheapest or
most expensive month for the whole of the hire.
Prices include : Unlimited mileage in Portugal, Super CDW (excess waiver), VAT,
and if requested Baby or Booster seats.
Prices do not include: Petrol, and police fees for illegal driving.
There are no Extra Costs.
Charges and deposit are paid on commencement of hire. You do not need to send
card details over the internet.
ACCIDENTS & CLAIMS
Damages caused by Overspeeding or Drinking and Driving are
responsability of the customer.
If you have an accident or any damage caused during the rental you should
always request a Police report only to prove that you weren't Drinking and
Driving or Overspeeding.
Speed limits in Portugal:
City: 50 Km/h
National roads: 90 Km/h
Highway: 120 Km/h
DEPOSIT
We do not charge a reservation deposit so you do not need to send your
card details over the net.
The rental deposit can be made under a blank slip of your credit card. Just a
safety for us that customers don't abandon cars.
EXCESS
There is no excess for cars, except for Special cars signed with " * ", on
the Price table.
Excess only applicable on groups: H, H1, J2, L1, I3.
COLLECTING YOUR CAR
At Faro airport you will be met at Arrivals, in front of the Post Office.
And your car will be waiting
on our car park outside the arrivals hall. ( Park 4 Row G) You are not
taken by bus to a garage. Our reps will complete your contract at the airport
and show you to your car.
Cars may be delivered to your hotel at no extra charge. Delivery times will be
as close as possible to requested subject to availability of staff. You will be
given a freephone number to finalise your delivery details with our head office.
RETURNING YOUR CAR
At Faro airport you should return your car to the car park and then
check it in with the rep. Please allow adequate time. You are responsible for
the car till it is checked in.
Hotel deliveries , the collection details will be arranged with the rep when the
car is delivered to you.
CAR TYPES
We invariably have the car that you request but due to damage and late
returns we may occasionally have to offer you an alternative, similar or better
car than the one you have requested. These circumstances are outside of our
control and we would ask for your patience. We have never left a client stuck
without a car.
The cars shown are the ones available at our internet prices. We may be able to
arrange other cars from companies within the group. They are likely to be more
expensive but we are happy to give you a price for your special requirements.
CAR AGE
Our undertaking is to provide a clean and serviceable car. Cars are
retired from our fleet on the basis of condition and not age. Whilst the
majority of our cars are less than 3 years old we are unable to give any
guarantee as to the ago of car which will be supplied to any one hire
AGE
Sorry but we cannot hire to drivers under 25.
BABY SEATS
We have conventional forward facing baby seats intended for children to
approximately 3 years old and booster seats for children to approximately 5
years. If you have a particular requirement for your child we recommend that for
peace of mind you bring your own child seat.
THE COMPANY
Your hire is with Auto Rent of Praia da Rocha. Full contact details will
be given on your contract on commencement of hire. There is a freephone number
to contact the office whilst in Portugal. The reception staff speak English.
We are committed to giving you a service which you will be pleased to use again
and recommend. If you are not happy with any aspect of the service you receive
please say so at the time. Please contact me ,if possible whilst you are
still in Portugal.
